Virtual Desktop - Install Windows App from Microsoft Store to access Azure Virtual Desktops

To get started with Azure Virtual Desktops, download and install Microsoft Corporation's Windows app from the Microsoft Store.

To access Azure Virtual Desktops from a Microsoft Windows computer, use the Windows app from Microsoft Store. Please note: This is a separate application from the traditional Remote Desktop Connection application. 

Install the Windows App from Microsoft Store

1. On your Windows workstation, open the Microsoft Store.
2. In Microsoft Store, search for "Windows App".
3. From the search results, click the tile for Windows App.
4. On the Windows App details screen, verify that the publisher is "Microsoft Corporation".
5. Click the Get button to start download of the Windows app.
6. Wait while the download and installation process completes.
7. Click the Open button to launch the Windows app.
