Launching or Starting Jabber for Desktop in Windows

The Jabber client is installed by default on all faculty/staff computers and should be available to anyone who has a campus phone. This article covers starting the Jabber client as well as setting it up to always run when logged in to Windows.

"Cisco Jabber" should be located in the Windows Start Menu. It can be found by looking through the programs list or searching for "Jabber".

The first time Jabber is run, it will prompt for log in. To log in:

  1. Enter your UW-Platteville email address and password then click "Sign In"
