Body
What are the options for using Turnitin?
- Turnitin External Tool LTI 1.1 integration in Canvas
- Turnitin Plagiarism Framework (PF) in Canvas
- Turnitin.com - browser access
What are the differences?
The external tool assignment uses the LTI 1.1, and the Plagiarism Review (for File Uploads) connects using the Plagiarism Framework. Feedback Studio with Canvas comparison chart – Turnitin Guides shows a comparison chart to help decide which option is best for using Turnitin within Canvas.
The third option, using the Turnitin.com website, is available outside of Canvas. This could be used to check a single paper or class papers outside of Canvas assignments.
