If you need to run a Similarity Report on a paper that has not been submitted through one of the Canvas Turnitin integrations, you use the Turnitin website to obtain a similarity report. Go to the Turnitin Login page and use your campus email to login. The first time using the site, you will need to click the forgotten password link. This account is not associated with the NetID and password and does not use Single Sign-on authentication.
Once logged in you can access the online similarity checker. Use the link for the University of Wisconsin, Platteville LTI, and follow the instructions here: Turnitin Web access Direct Submissions.
