For Duo enrolled customers, you may see account errors when first logging in to a campus workstation. The error will appear in Office 365 products as well as from the Windows 10 notification center. Fixing the error using either method will resolve the issues for both on that workstation. Below are the errors and how to fix them. You must have your Duo device available in order to complete the steps. If you do not have your Duo device, you may still use Microsoft Office 365 Office products and Windows, you will just not have access to your OneDrive documents or be able to sync settings in Windows.
Error in Windows 10 Notification
The error in Windows 10 is indicated by a notification window in the lower right corner of the screen in the notification center.
To resolve the issue, click the notification window to open the Shared experiences settings in Windows 10. If the notification goes away before you click, you can open Settings from the Start Menu then select "System" then "Shared experiences". Within Shared experiences, click the "Fix now" button.
Respond to the Duo prompts. The Shared experiences setting should now indicate all accounts are working correctly.
Error in Microsoft Office 365 products
The error found in Microsoft Office 365 products is indicated by a yellow triangle just to the left of your name in the upper right corner of the application.
To resolve this issue, click your name to reveal a drop down and click "Sign in".
Respond to the Duo prompts.
