Accessing Storage on the Go
To access Storage on the Go follow these steps.
- open up a web browser and go to Pioneer Portal
- Once on Pioneer Portal, search for Storage on the Go in the top "Search" box
- On the results page, you will see a "Storage on the Go" button on the right side
- Click the "Storage on the Go" button
- Login with your campus NetID/username and password
- Once logged in your will see all the network drives that you have access to
Navigating Storage on the Go
To navigate Storage on the Go follow these steps.
- Click on the folder or name of the network location you want to view or save files
- Continue to click through the file folder structure until you get to your file(s)
Accessing User1 / J: Drive
Accessing your User1 / J: Drive storage through Storage on the Go.
- Click on the "User1" folder
- Click the letter/folder that your netid/username starts with
- For example, is your username is smithj, click on the "s" folder
- You should then see your full username, click this folder
- You will now see all your folders and files that you have created on your User1 / J: Drive
Editing Files
To edit a file using Storage on the Go, you will need to download the file first, make changes, save it locally, and then re-upload that new file.
- To edit a file, first click the box to the left of the file name
- A download button will appear at the top of the screen, click download to save the file locally on your computer
- Make your changes to your file and save the file
- Upload/updated file
- Click on the "+ New" button at the top of the screen
- Click "Upload files"
- Navigate to where you saved your updated file on your local computer
- Find/click on that file, then click the Open button
- Depending on file size it might take a while to upload the new file
