Installing Campus Network Printer for Windows 10/11

Windows 10

NOTE: If using a campus computer, skip to step 5

  1. Open the Control Panel and search for "Credential Manager" then double click on the "Credential Manager" icon
  2. Click on the "Windows Credentials" button and then "Add a Windows Credential" link
  3. Server Setup
    • Internet or network address: \\printzilla.ion.uwplatt.edu
    • Username: ION\NetID
    • Password: Campus Password
  4. Click OK
  5. Navigate to Control Panel; and select Devices and Printers
  6. Click Add a Printer
  7. Click "The printer that I want isn't listed"
  8. Enter in \\printzilla.ion.uwplatt.edu\ into the Select a shared printer by name field
  9. A list of printers will show up, continue to type in printer name to narrow down list
  10. Click the printer you want to install, click Next
  11. Set Default Printer Option, click Next 
  12. Click Finish

Windows 11

  4. Click OK
  5. Navigate to Control Panel; and select Devices and Printers
  6. Click Printers & scanners
  7. Click Add device
  8. Look in the list that populated for "The printer that I want isn't listed," click Add manually
  9. Enter in \\printzilla.ion.uwplatt.edu\ into the Select a shared printer by name field
  10. A list of printers will show up, continue to type in printer name to narrow down list
  11. Click the printer you want to install, click Next
  12. Set Default Printer Option, click Next 
  13. Click Finish
