How can I tell if a message is legit?

Image 1: Message

  • Incorrect spelling and grammar
  • URL is not uwplatt.edu
  • Is not signed by the ITS Help Desk or a staff member of ITS

Image 2: The form at the end of the link

  • Does not use the correct name of the ITS Help Desk
  • Is not a uwplatt webpage/uses a general web-design form (Sitey)

And finally.... ITS will never ask for your username and password in an email - or in a link from an email.  Never, ever. SERIOUSLY!
