Using Veyon

This is a quick guide for using Veyon, a computer management installed in some academic labs that allows instructors to monitor computer activity across the lab from the instructor station.

  1. Click on the Veyon link on the desktop.
  2. Log in.
  3. Select Monitoring. A list of workstations will appear on the left.
  4. Check the box for each work station you want to monitor. The desktop thumbnails will appear in your window.

Common Options

FIRST AND FOREMOST - DO NOT click Restart or Log off. Both of these will apply to ALL computers.

Lock - Lock ALL student stations.

Remove view - view the screen of the selected computer.

Remote control - take control of the selected student's workstation.

Screenshot - take a picture of all desktops.

Right-click on a single computer screen thumbnail to take an action on that specific station.

Mouse over any action button at the top for a tool tip.
