Features in Navigate360

Using features in Navigate360

Navigate360 has a number of useful features for students. Each feature can be accessed using Navigate360 on desktop or mobile. On desktop, features are listed along the left side of the screen. On the mobile app, click on the rocketship icon or the app launcher (nine dots in a 3 by 3 grid) to see more features.

Read about several of these features below.

Resources

All campus offices and resources are listed in the Resources tab in Navigate360. Resources are divided into categories. First are "people" and "places." "People" refers to members of your success team, such as academic advisors. "Places" are all other campus resources, including physical and online resources.

The "Places" resources are further divided into categories, such as "Financial" and "Places to Eat". There is also a search bar if you are not sure what category you may want.

Each resource entry will include a description and other useful information, such as a link or contact information. Additionally, physical resources will have a map pin. Clicking on map pin will open a maps app or website and show the location of the resource on the map. When on a mobile device, the map app on your phone can then provide walking directions to that resource.

Hand Raise

Hand Raise is a feature that allows you to ask a question about campus, and a staff member will respond within 24-48 business hours. Select "Hand Raise" from the app launcher within Navigate360, or look for the icon of a waving hand.

Several categories are provided for common question types, but you can submit any question to, "I have a question but I don't know who to ask". STARS staff will review questions and provide an answer or connect you to a resource as soon as we can. For some question types, you will also receive an immediate automated email with general information.

Please note that this resource is not monitored 24/7 and should not be used for emergencies. Additionally, questions submitted through Hand Raise are not confidential and may be viewed by other campus staff, such as academic advisors.

Journeys

Journeys in Navigate360 are collections of steps designed to help students learn about campus resources or achieve particular goals. Some Journeys are available to any student to assign to themselves. Other Journeys will be assigned to certain groups of students based on their majors or other criteria. If you are assigned a Journey, please review the steps to ensure you are taking advantage of all the resources available to you. You can also reach out to the person who assigned the Journey to you to ask for more guidance.

Journeys can be accessed through the "Journeys" icon in the app launcher. Assigned Journeys will appear here, and students can select "Explore All Journeys" to preview any other Journeys and assign them to themselves. Examples of Journeys available to all students include "Complete your career checklist" and "Learn about mental health support available to students."

Class Schedule

Students can view their current course schedules within Navigate360 by selecting the "Class Schedule" feature. Your class schedule is also one of the default home pages for the mobile app.

You can view your class schedule as a list view or a calendar view. Clicking on an individual class will also show the relevant details, such as the instructor, the location, and the meeting times and dates. Additionally, each class has a link to a map pin, which will open a map app and show the location of the building on the map.

Please note that Navigate360 receives updates from PASS overnight, and therefore changes to your schedule may not appear in Navigate360 until the next day. It is recommended to double check your schedule in PASS to ensure no changes have been made to your schedule, such as classroom locations.

Study Buddies

Students can add themselves to the Study Buddies list for any of their courses. Once added, you will be able to see contact information for other students in the class who have added themselves to the Study Buddies list and then reach out to set up study groups.
