Connecting Devices to the UWPlatt-unsecure Wireless Network

You can connect your Xbox, Playstation, and other wireless devices to the UWPlatt-unsecure wireless network. The UWPlatt-unsecure wireless network is for the use of devices that are not able to connect to UWPLATT wireless network. To connect a wireless device to the UWPlatt-unsecure network follow the steps below.

  1. Get the wireless MAC or WLAN MAC address for your device. Typically this information will be under the settings or network screen on your device.
  2. Visit this website from another device that is connected to a campus network connection (UWPLATT wireless or wired), login using your campus credentials and fill out the form.
  3. Connect your device to the UWPlatt-unsecure wireless network. If your device was already on, a reboot might be required for connectivity to be successful.

If your device will not connect to UWPlatt-unsecure wireless network after registration, you may need to reboot the device. Also check to make sure you have Random MAC Address turned off. This setting will be under wireless security settings in most cases.
