Student Handbook -- Dress Code

As an employee of ITS, you will be expected to present a clean and professional appearance when you represent us in our office and across campus.

Staff will be expected to follow the guidelines below. If a situation requires an exception, such as for religious practices, disabilities, etc., staff will work with the Support Manager or Lead to accommodate allowances.

  1. Face covering are currently option in the Help Desk/campus. If there is a mandate for face coverings, the Help Desk staff will be required to wear face coverings while in the Help Desk/On campus.
  2. The wearing of hats while at work, whether you are in the support office or on-site is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to ball caps, winter hats, etc.
  3. The wearing of shirts (or any other clothing) that contains offensive or questionable sayings and/or graphics are not allowed.
  4. Shoes must be worn at all times.

It is important to remember that this is an office setting and staff should dress appropriately. Also remember that in working with computers, setting them up and removing them from offices, labs, etc. you may need to crawl under desks or get behind objects that are dusty and/or dirty, so dress with that in mind.

Remember that it is just as essential that you act in a professional manner and extend that highest courtesy to co-workers, visitors, customers, vendors, and clients. A cheerful and positive attitude is essential to our commitment to extraordinary customer service and impeccable quality. You are not only representing yourself, but also Student Centers Network Support in general and the University.

If you have any questions regarding any part of this policy, please speak with a lead or Support Manager.
