Activating Your UW-Platteville Account

The day after the UW-Platteville Office of Admission receives the application for admission, an email is sent
FROM: UW-Platteville Office of Admission <UWPAdmissions@uwplatt.edu>
SUBJECT: UW-Platteville Applicant Account Activation
to the email address provided on the application. This email contains step by step instructions for setting up your UW-Platteville username (netID) and password. If you are not able to find this email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. If you still are unable to find it, please refer to the steps provided below within the section that pertains to you.

Important: Once you have successfully set up your account or retrieved your username (netID) or password, please sign into PASS (https://go.uwplatt.edu/pass) to view any To Do items!

New, First-Time Applicant to UW-Platteville:
1. You can find your username (netID) using this link: https://go.uwplatt.edu/username. As long as the information you provide matches what was provided on the application for admission, it should display your username (netID) to you.

2. Once you get your username (netID), now go to https://go.uwplatt.edu/activate-account. Here you will need to enter in the username (netID) you retrieved from the previous step along with your last name, first name, and date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) as provided on the application for admission.

3. Follow the step-by-step instructions for activating your account, setting up your password, and setting challenge response questions. If you are still having difficulties setting up your account, please contact the ITS Help Desk (Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) at 608.342.1400 or email at helpdesk@uwplatt.edu.

I already activated my UW-Platteville account but forgot my username (netID) or password:
1. Forgotten username (netID) retrieval: https://go.uwplatt.edu/username

2. Forgotten password / reset password: https://go.uwplatt.edu/pw

I don't remember my UW-Platteville password and forgot my challenge response answers:
If you are unable to reset your password via self service from your challenge response questions, the account holder (the student) will need to contact the ITS Help Desk via phone to have them reset your password for you. Call 608.342.1400 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
