PASS - SAF Term Setup

The SAF Term Setup process provides the necessary values needed for the Title IX extract to contain term relevant information. Please review the instructions below to understand how to complete the required setup page(s).

  1. Access the SAF Term SetUp run control page using the NavBar menu. Clicking on the compass-looking icon in the upper-right corner of the main toolbar will open up a side menu that contains the menu icon needed to continue.Image shows toolbar with NavBar icon highlighted, along with the side menu that opens with the menu icon highlighted as well.
     
  2. Navigate to SAF Term Setup by following this path: Menu > UWP Satellite System > Student Affairs > SetupImage showing screen shot of final menu navigation to the SAF Term Setup location.
     
  3. The run control page appears. This is where you can search for an existing Course Name to update/review or to add a new value (Course Name). 
    1. When adding a new course name, click the Add a New Value button. Else, proceed to step iii.

    2. Enter a relevant Course Name without any spaces (i.e., Course-New instead of Course - New). Click Add.

    3. Complete the indicated fields below whether entering for a new course name or adding new values on an existing course name.  Image provides numbered indication of fields to complete as well as add a row indicator to click when adding new information to an existing course name.
      1. Effective Date – must be in the future.
      2. Status as of Effective Date - (Default value – Active).
      3. Course ID - Value provided by Canvas.
      4. Root Account – Value provided by Canvas.
      5. Term – select term(s) relevant for this course/effective date.
      6. SAVE – final step.

Once setup is completed, work with Information Systems and Integrations Team (ISIT) to get the Title IX Extract (SAFH002) process scheduled for an updated run.
