Connect to UWPlatt wireless on Android

1. Open your system settings app.

2. Select Network & Internet from the Settings menu.

3. Select Internet from the Network & Internet menu.

4. Under Networks, tap the desired wireless network. UW-Platteville students, faculty, and staff should select UWPlatt for best wireless network performance. Only guests to campus should choose UWGuest.

Below are the settings you will need when configuring the UWPlatt wireless network on your Android or Chromebook device.

NOTE: The exact settings and verbiage below may differ from Android phone to phone and operating system to operating system.

• EAP method

  • PEAP

• Phase 2 authentication

  • MSCHAPV2

• CA certificate

  • Do not check, Do not validate, or Do not verify
    NOTE: If your device is asking for a certificate to install first, choose Use system certificates, then select Do not check, Do not validate, or Do not verify.

    

• Minimum TLS version (if applicable)

  • TLS v1.2

• Domain

  • uwplatt.edu

• Identity

  • Your UW-Platteville NetID (not your full email address)

• Anonymous identity

  • Leave this field blank.

• Password

  • Your UW-Platteville password

    

• Expand Advanced Options.

  • Under Privacy, choose Use device MAC.

    

5. Tap Connect.

Wait while the device connects to UWPlatt. Verify that it says "Connected" under the network name.
