Accessing campus voice mail.
Solution
To check voice mail from the Cisco phone
A red light at the top of the handset indicates you have a new unheard voice mail.
- Press the Messages button on your phone (cassette icon)
- Enter in your voice mail PIN followed by the # key using the number pad.
- Your new messages will begin to play.
- Press 3 to review old messages.
- Once in your message, your options include:
- Press 1 to repeat
- Press 2 to save
- Press 3 to delete
- Press 5 to forward
- Press 6 to mark message as new
- Press 0 for help
To check voice mail from your Office 365 inbox
Voicemail messages will arrive as a .wav attachment from Cisco Unity Messaging System in your Inbox. To listen to the message, open the attachment. Depending on what browser you use, you may need to use a media player such as VLC.
To check voice mail using Cisco Jabber
- Click on the voice mail icon in the left-hand navigation bar. This will bring up a list of your messages. Unread/New messages will be bold.
- Select the message to listen to and click the Play button to listen.
- You can right-click on each message or click the ellipsis for additional actions and to delete the message.
To check voice mail remotely
- From any external phone, call the voice mail access number and follow the prompts. Depending on where you are calling from, you may be prompted for your mailbox number. For the main campus this is your 4 digit extension. For branch campus numbers this is 1 followed by your 10-digit phone number. Enter your mailbox number and press #
- Enter your voice mail PIN and press #
- Follow the prompts to manage your voice mail.
